Every Placement Includes
A personalized family consultation, targeted candidate search, candidate interviews, professional reference checks, background screening, interview coordination, trial support, compensation guidance, and continued support throughout your placement guarantee period.
Every candidate presented to your family has been personally reviewed by Malibu Nannies. We intentionally accept a limited number of searches so each family receives responsive, hands-on support.
Full-Time Nanny Placement
For families seeking consistent, long-term care of 30 or more guaranteed hours per week.
Engagement fee: $750, credited toward your final placement fee
Placement fee: 20% of the nanny’s anticipated first-year gross compensation
Minimum placement fee: $7.500
Replacement period: 90 days
Part-Time Nanny Placement
For families seeking ongoing care on a regular schedule of fewer than 30 guaranteed hours per week.
Engagement fee: $500, credited toward your final placement fee
Placement fee: 18% of the nanny’s anticipated first-year gross compensation
Minimum placement fee: $4,000
Replacement period: 60 days
Temporary Nanny Placement
Flexible care for a defined period, from several days through three months.
Engagement fee: $300, credited toward your final booking fee
Booking fee: 20% of the nanny’s total anticipated compensation
Minimum booking fee: $750
Nanny wages are paid directly to the nanny and are separate from the Malibu Nannies booking fee.
Travel & Vacation Coverage
Personalized caregiver placement for family vacations, business travel, destination weddings, and extended trips.
Booking fee: 20% of the nanny’s total anticipated compensation
Minimum booking fee: $500
Travel expenses, accommodations, meals, overtime, and the nanny’s wages are paid separately by the family.
Event & Wedding Childcare
Thoughtfully coordinated childcare for weddings, private events, corporate gatherings, and multi-day celebrations.
Private event coordination: Starting at $750
Wedding childcare: Starting at $1,500
Multi-nanny and multi-day events: Custom proposal
Pricing is based on the number of children, number of caregivers, event length, location, and level of coordination required. Caregiver wages are quoted separately unless otherwise specified.
What does the engagement fee cover?
Every permanent and temporary search begins with an engagement fee. This allows us to begin recruiting, screening, interviewing, and personally reviewing candidates specifically for your family.
If you hire a nanny introduced by Malibu Nannies, your engagement fee is fully credited toward your final placement fee.
Because this fee covers work completed on your behalf, it is non-refundable once your search has begun.

Why is there a minimum?
Every search requires significant time and personal attention, regardless of the nanny’s schedule or annual compensation. Recruiting qualified candidates, conducting interviews, verifying references, coordinating trial days, and supporting both families and nannies requires the same level of care for every placement.
Our minimum placement fee allows us to provide the boutique, hands-on experience every family deserves.
What happens if our nanny doesn’t work out?
If your placement ends within the applicable replacement period, Malibu Nannies will conduct one replacement search at no additional placement fee, subject to the terms of your placement agreement.
Our replacement period is:
• 90 days for full-time placements
• 60 days for part-time placements
Our goal is always a long-term, successful match, and we’re committed to helping you find the right fit.
Are nanny wages included in the agency fee?
No. The Malibu Nannies placement fee covers our recruiting, screening, placement, and ongoing support services.
Your nanny’s hourly wage or annual salary is paid directly to the nanny by your family and is separate from our agency fee.
Do you provide payroll support?
While Malibu Nannies does not process payroll directly, we’re happy to connect families with trusted household payroll providers who specialize in nanny employment.
These services can assist with tax withholding, direct deposit, workers’ compensation guidance, and year-end tax reporting.
When is the placement fee due?
Your engagement fee is collected when your search begins.
The remaining placement fee is due once you’ve selected a candidate and before your nanny’s first scheduled day of employment.
There are no ongoing membership fees or annual agency fees after your placement is complete.
