How the retainer works.

Every search begins with a non-refundable retainer. If you hire a nanny we present, the retainer is fully credited toward your placement fee. If you decide not to move forward, the retainer covers the time we’ve invested vetting candidates on your behalf.

Frequently asked.

Why is there a minimum?
Whether your nanny earns $55,000 or $150,000, the work we put into finding the right one is the same. Every interview, every reference call, every trial day takes the same care. The minimum is what lets us give that attention to every family we work with.

What if you can’t find a suitable match?
We’ll always do our best to find the right match for your family. If for some reason a search doesn’t lead to a placement, we’ll figure out next steps together.

What if our nanny doesn’t work out?
Sometimes a match that looks perfect on paper doesn’t quite land in your home. If that happens within the first 90 days for a full-time placement, or 60 days for a part-time one, we’ll start a new search at no additional cost. We’ve been on both sides of these relationships, and we know how important it is to make it right.

Do you handle payroll?
We don’t handle payroll directly, but we’ll connect you with two payroll services we trust and have used for years. They’re set up specifically for nanny payroll and make this part easy.

Why isn’t there a yearly fee or membership?
Honestly, we considered it and decided against it. We want families to feel like they’re paying for the actual work we do, not a subscription. The retainer covers the search. The placement fee covers the hire. Beyond that, you don’t owe us anything.

Every engagement starts with a brief discovery call with Brooke. There’s no obligation, and no investment until you sign an engagement letter. If we’re a fit, we move quickly. If we aren’t, we’ll often suggest where to look next.
